Basically, almost a year ago, all the servers housing SailorSS.com's stuff deleted all our files, and terminated our account. This was done because of a confusion with the billing, but by the time the problem was resolved, the data was already long gone. I didn't have my own computer at the time, and backing up all of the Oggs, pictures, and movies, was impossible. So, needless to say, everything was lost, and I just had no way to restore it. I still have many of the actual CDs for music, but everything else was purely digital. I left whatever was left of the site up for a while, with intentions of restoring it, but never finding the time to rescan and rerip everything.
So sometime in the summer, I decided to close down the site. I removed all the old pages still left on the traffic server, and put up a notice that we were no longer going to be around. That lasted about two days before the emails starting pouring in, asking me to reopen the site. Honestly, with the rate that our visitor count had plummeted, I didn't think anyone would care. But they did, and I did too, so I decided that once I went on Christmas break I would start rebuilding the site.
Thank you to everyone who emailed me, and left me messages in the guest book. I really appreciated your kind words. For now, I aim to rebuild the site with more original content than what it had before. Evenutally, I should have all the episodes up for download and hopefully I'll start scanning the manga. I'm not entirerly sure yet what direction the site will take. But we're back, and I hope you'll enjoy what we're doing here. Spread the word!
